Space Terror!!

happy halloween,
my friend got this wicked pen, pentel brush pen.
i quickly cranked this thing out.
i adde the color and halftones, through photoshop,
but the inks are all natural, hand drawn.
very nice. this pen makes my crappy skills look cool.

it was my friends, birthday last week, and she is a very special person. she is kind and loving. we hung out some in the Art Institute and she was the one to talk to when something was bothering me.

so i dedicate this image to her.

sakura-street fighter whatever

its a beautiful autumn afternoon, an october friday in this foul year of our lord, 2007. i have a whole weekend ahead of me. what will it hold in store for us. only God knows. i have no plans, or do i... have i been working on a grand plan subconsciencley with out notice. planning something great that i would least expect. we'll see.

Darjeeling

so i saw the darjeeling limited the other night, i didnt like it too much. it was boring.

everyone else in the world seems to like it. i think its the worst one that wes has made. some one told me he was trying to be more abstract with it. if by abstract he meant boring then he got it.

anyways. i have been way busy or have gotten sidetracked by something. so i hadnt had a chance to post anyhting on here.

so here are 2 images to make for the past few days.

chun li street style clothing, i mean it is street fighter am i right.

in the orginal street fighter, she had some mean thighs. i brought them back for this one, but mine are more soft than roided style of legs she had.

random gun girl, i saw an image in a magazine and inspired me to do one of my own, i forget what show it was for.

Monday.

i did quite a bit of sketching this past weekend. it was a good weekend.




started a little slow, i didnt know what to sketch, so i started with witchblade, another character i use to draw in highschool was a fan of mike turner. use to be. not so much anymore.
i am gonna start cranking some halloween themed. characters.




anyways. here is my stab at it. i didnt like the face came out.

Denied!

so i wanted to share these little characters. we tried to push on an architectural animation.

we are always trying to push something creative here, at corgan medialab.

they wanted a walkthrough of an airport. so we came up of following this cutesy flight attendant. from the front door all the way to her boarding the plane. but alas, the corporate mentality could not grasp their feeble minds around it so DENIED!

i will be posting more DENIED ideas on here when i can.

i just wanted to share this with you guys since it was the last one.

Chun Li one of the first chick fighters for video games. at least for me it was.

gotta love her, she had them thick thunder thighs. which in need to capture that for my next chun li doodle.

Shooting Star!

did alot this weekend, got my apartment furnished and ready to go. just need to get some artwork for the walls.
i also bought, surfs up. in my opinion its the best cg cartoon movie to this date.
took it in whole different direction.
it was more mature, and wasnt kiddie, with a hard lesson to learn. i mean its there but its not in your face, and blatant about it.
very good dialogue and acting. aweseom renders.

i highly recommend it.

sketched this one over the weekend, had my sis and her little girl come and visit.

i think i might splash some color on this one. i digs.

hip hop trip!

went to hip hop jam in a park in plano, tx. about a week ago.


it was pretty cool. they had graffitti artist painting in the park. and dj spinnin records.


of course i had my sketch book at hand.



i cant wait for the next one.
we need more of that around dallas, some underground sound, and i am not talking about that houston gangbang shit neither. i am talking about J5, Lyrics born, Blackalicious, and the underground godfather. ACEYALONE!! and so on.

so, we had nothing to do again here at work, so i decide to practice doing some vector looking art. its not quite vector since i painted the lines in.

but you get the point.

Holiday Craze!

did this for the draw a holiday card contest here at work.

i heard i was the only one that entered. making me the victor!

not unless the company doesnt like it. which might be the case.

cause these people are architects. and if anything is remotely cool or fun. they wont dig.

In 3D!!!!

i also do a little 3D work. very little, i just dont have time or the patience for this type of art. very slow moving and can get tedious especially around the texturing phase, which is where i stopped on this one.

just spacing out, was gonna surpise my sister with this one, but never got around to finish it, just ended up being a sketch.

i really do need to finish stuff off.

this is my first painting or coloring job, through Painter.

it was fun. i think it was a first round luck.

i have been trying to paint in that program again, and it seems harder this time around.

i think i am putting too much thought into or something.

really disappointed myself yesterday. i will post the WIP. 2morrow.

First Blog. ever.(for me)

So i will be posting art work, in here. see if i can get peoples thoughts onto here, and be able to post everthing on here, i tend to not post sketches on forums and shit like that, but i will be putting that shit in here. sketches from napkins and shit like that.
maybe some W.I.P. of paintings and shit.

this one was down at the autodesk tour thing that came through here in dallas.
it was entertaining and informative.
actually i got bored and sketched this thing instead. on the back of the registration paper i was supposed to return after the thing was done. i ended up giving it to one of the guys doing one of the presentations, (gary)
